It is the Parks and Recreation Department's responsibility to develop and offer a wide variety of quality recreational, eduction, cultural and special events to the public at the lowest possible cost while servicing all age groups in the Town.  All of our programs, including the Town Beach and Summer Day Camp, run on what is referred to as a self-sustaining account that means exactly that.  All fees collected are applied to the total cost of the programs including summer staff and instructor salaries, facility rentals, program supplies, brochure printing, as well as our department's part time administrative assistant.
